Fusion of a trail running and a hiking shoe

The Speedhiker is a versatile and athletic speedhiking shoe, which is in its element both on day hikes in the forest as well as speedier treks in more demanding conditions. Due to the Speedhiker’s design and the sole’s rockplate, the shoe offers stability and protection and can also handle longer distances in rocky and more technical terrain.

The VJ Speedhiker is built on the VJ Ultra 2’s sole and last that is shaped like a foot, which means along with the best grip on the planet, you will find the already familiar cushioning, responsiveness and the roomy toebox from this shoe as well. As does the Ultra 2, the Speedhiker features aggressive 4mm lugs on the outsole.

To increase comfort and combat the strain on the feet, we’ve built this shoe to be extremely light.

The back of the shoe has been lowered, which allows your ankle to move freely and make those sharp twists and turns in the alternating terrain. The lowered backside also amplifies the “sport shoe feel”, so the only thing standing between you and speedy treks is yourself!

The shoe’s durable ripstop upper is made from 100% recycled material. Beneath the upper is our own dynamic Performadry waterproof membrane that ensures your feet to stay dry and comfortable.

The shoe features the innovative Fitlock system designed to improve the fit of the shoe, making it feel like part of your body. Integrated with the lacing, the Fitlock system tightens the shoe on the inside and under the arch of your foot while also protecting from hits from below.

Delivery and returns

Delivery

The delivery time is typically 1-4 working days to Finland and 1-8 working days to other countries. Orders over 100€ (or an equal amount in other currency) will have a free delivery to all EU countries and Switzerland.

Returns

You have the right to return your product within 14 days after receiving the products. For all returns, excluding size changes, we will charge a processing fee of 10€, which will be deducted directly from the amount refunded to you.

A little stiff in the beginning, otherwise a great shoe

Only "negative" thing is stiffness in the beginning. After using them a while, going gets smoother all the time. I use this pair of shoes in versatile outdoor activities including MTB, walking / hiking

Perfect compromise

If you love the VJ Max then you’ll love the same performance but with added protection.
Just enough cushion to run in.

My favorarite hiking shoe

Very nice and stable hiking. I specially like the fit and stability and also the grip is excellent. I bought a new pair because the sole's worn-out after one year of extensive use on (alpine) trails.

Great all-around shoes

I bought these for spring, autumn, and winter usage. So far I've walked on wet ground, snow, and ice. I was surprised how well these worked on ice even without spikes and naturally there is great traction on snow and wet ground.

Toebox is nice, larger than on competitors.

Only thing I like more on competitors shoes I used before is the lacing system. Speedhikers have traditional laces.
