Versatility, performance and comfort
The VJ MAXx2 is a versatile, well cushioned and fast trail running shoe for alternating terrain.
The shoe features our new SuperFOAMance midsole, which is made of hi-tech and ultralight nitrogen infused material that offers extreme cushioning and energy return. This new foam is a modern, supercritical foam that is lighter, more responsive, more comfortable and more propulsive than a traditional EVA foam. Compared to other foams, SuperFOAMance is more durable and does not rip as easily.
The midsole is finished with a full length rock plate that protects the runner’s feet from sharp edges and pertruding branches. The rock plate also makes the shoe torsionally more rigid and increases energy efficiency.
The MAXx2 features VJ’s famous Superior Contact -outsole made of our own butyl rubber compound, offering superior grip in any terrain.
The upper is light, breathable and durable one-piece upper. The last is shaped like a foot, which together with the upper offers maximal comfort and performance.
VJ’s innovative Fitlock-system offers an optimal fit for the shoe by locking the foot from the arch. It also offers extra protection by protecting the arch from the impacts the foot is facing while running.

I normally wear UK 10, but went with 9.5 and the fit is just right. Well cushioned but still responsive, with enough toe box space and a secure lock—even on technical descents.
For racing medium long distance or just for fun time training in the mtn
Really like the feeling in the foam, less pain in my calfs then with my previous shoe.
I was looking for a new pair of shoes that would give me absolute comfort. But above all, something that would give me a feeling of safety on any type of grounds (mud, rocks, ...). The grip of the VY MaXx2 exceeds my expectations. Now I can go down any type of trails without fear of slipping. God Job VJ
A great combination of grip and cushioning. It is a well fitting ond soft shoe where the feet also feel well protected. Great and safe grip that works well on obstacles including the rope climbing. Consider choosing half a size smaller than usual for a tight fit. Highly recommended 🤩
So far I have used 3 Maxx 1s, this new model is brilliance taken to the next level, they are a glove. The grip, the solidity, the stability, you feel like you are floating, on technical terrain they are the most agile I have tried, on fast terrain, they are reactive enough without losing traction... for me, one of the best shoes you can have to compete, be fast, and most importantly, be safe on any type of trail... simply brilliant.
